Super Bowl 2009

Our team has varied opinions on today's Super Bowl, and I will share what the consensus says here today..

We are taking the points and the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards should keep it close enough and cover, but will probably get beat straight up by the Steelers. We look for a high scoring, fun to watch game today with the Steelers coming out at the other end as world champs. Of course, you must obviously get seven points if you are taking Arizona, and it is available with just a little shopping around. Some books have moved it down to 6.5 but there are some sevens still around.

Cardinals plus the 7, and enjoy the game.

NFL Free Selection For Sunday September 28th

Today, we seven plays in the NFL and we will release one here as our free selection. We are taking the New York Jets minus one point at home over the Arizona Cardinals. The Jets and Favre should take it to the Cards today and win this one easy.

Sunday Free Selection For Del Mar

Even though we think that the ride we got from Victor Espinoza yesterday was terrible with our selection of Bad Boy, we will try again with him today in the 7th race. Going with Comedy Girl, number one. She is 5-1 on the morning line, which apparently does not mean much since yesterday's horse Bad Boy was 8-1 on the morning line and opened at 3-2. Somebody out there betting big??

We all thought that he moved way too early with Bad Boy yesterday. The horse that was leading was going way too fast early in the race and was going to come back to the field without question. Why Victor decided to take off after that horse before the half-mile pole is beyond me. Of course, he may have lost anyway, but at least give the horse a chance make his move turning for home and have something left for deep stretch.

Victor Espinoza is one of the best out there though so we'll give him the chance to make up for it today.

Del Mar Free Selection For Saturday

Going to try and tackle the 7th race today, which is one of the toughest races on the card. There is value in here and we think that it is with #6 Bad Boy. This guy ran against some nice horses last year. He took a couple of months off earlier this year, and looks to be rounding back into form for this event. Let's hope the odds stay up there around his 8-1 morning line.

Free Selection- Del Mar Saturday

This one will pay huge if it wins. Once in awhile, you have to take a shot with one of these. It is a second time starter going in the 7th race a Del Mar today. The horse is named Gold Aly, trained by Jack Van Berg. He is switching to Joe Talamo for today's race and adding lasix. The horse has every right to improve on his first start and is 15-1 on the morning line.

Today's free selection is a baseball total again. The Phillies and Mets square off in an early Thursday game with Moyer and Perez pitching. The total is at 9.5 under -1.30 and we are jumping on the under before it moves to 9 as it has in some places already.

We have had a few nice winners over at the seaside oval since the meet started last Wednesday, and are showing a slight profit with flat bets. Seems that the number one handicapping factor down there is trainer angles and the longer the meet goes, the better we will get at uncovering nice winners at juicy prices.

Our freebie did not come through yesterday as the Mets lit it up late sending the game over the total. Our members went 3 for 4 though, making a small profit for the day.
