Split again the other night going 1-1 bringing our win percentage down to 61.11%. Still on a winning tear since the All-Star Break and we are looking to finish the regular season on a winning note.

Tonight, we go for the under in the New Orleans-Toronto game. The total is at 196.5. I look for a very slow-paced game here and with the Hornets defense playing the way it is, it should stay under that number..

Our two selections the other night split..we lost on the Chicago-Philly game in which both teams decided to shoot the lights out from the floor and from 3 point range. We are still hitting in over 61 percent of our plays and over the long run, this will produce a nice profit..

Tonight we like two games..Going with the under in the Hornets-Celtics game where the total is at 197. This looks very much like a possible preview to the NBA Finals this year if you ask me, although some would disagree. Look for the Celtics to clamp down big time on defense tonight. These teams met earlier this month in New Orleans as the last game of a long Western swing for Boston and the game went over, I think, because the Celtics were probably pretty worn out after completing the trifecta in Texas, which is tough to say the least.

The other total we like is the under on the Bobcats-Sonics game where the total is at 208.5. Charlotte is on a bit of a high after beating the Lakers in L.A. the other night and may be able to shut down the Sonics tonight and come out with another win. The Sonics are averaging about 97 points a game this year in the Western Conference where most teams are averaging well above 100. Charlotte's style and pace of play should keep this game under.

NBA Monday March 24th-Free Selection

Wow! Thought for sure we lost our bet last night on the under in the Warriors-Lakers game. The Warriors jumped all over the Lakers early running up and down the court like thoroughbreds. The opened up a 72-49 lead at the half and it looked like the game would fly over the total of 233. Guess Phil Jackson had a little chat with the Lakers at the half because they came out in the 3rd quarter and actually shut the Warriors down with tight defense, and climbed right back into the game, actually taking the lead momentarily in the fourth quarter. The Golden State team did prevail though in the end, and lucky for us, the game stayed under.

It's all about pace in the NBA..The Lakers were able to change the whole face of the game by slowing the Warriors down in the 3rd, but they were just too far back to sustain their run. Tonight these two do battle again in Oakland, but we will stay away from it as far as making a wager.

Going with the under in the Portland-Seattle game..The total is at 205 right now. These two teams have met 3 times so far this season and Portland should shut down Seattle's offense again. Take the under..

Took an easy one last night, the Sixers-Nets were under throughout, bringing our record up to 29-19-2 for this year. Any time you can maintain a 60% or better win percentage, you make money. Remember, you only need to hit about 53% to break even, laying 11 to 10.

Tonight's card is limited, but we see an opportunity. The Lakers host the Golden State Warriors in the first of two in a home and home series. Read this morning that the Lakers plan to slow this game to their pace of play and that is their top priority in their strategy to win tonight. This total has been bet up from 230 to 233, but we like the under. Look for the Lakers to dominate this division rival and keep the score down or possibly lose this game as they cannot play into the Warriors trap of run and gun..

We split again last night..Our selection on the under in the Philly-Orlando game came down to the wire with the game just getting over the total. Checked the box score and found that the Magic shot 61% from 3 point range last night..14 of 23..Oh well.

With the regular season winding down, we look for some teams to pick up the defensive intensity and to be resting starters late in games where they have a sizable lead. This can lead to some good plays on the under if you can recognize when this may happen.

Pulled one out last night with our selection on the under in the Sacramento-Golden State game..That brings us to 26-18-2 for the year, not bad..Tonight the Phoenix Suns visit the Seattle Supersonics where the total is 228. After that game in Denver the other night, the Sonics return home and try to pull themselves together. They have had a couple days rest and plenty of time to absorb the beating from the media over allowing 168 to the Nuggets. I feel that they will respond tonight with much more intensity on defense to try to save some face, after all, they are professionals..We will sure see tonight whether they have just given up on themselves or if they have any pride left at all to try and finish the season on some kind of up swing..Take the under.

We lost a heartbreaker the other night. We had the over in the Phoenix-Sacramento game and the total was 228. These two teams had scored a total of 180 after three quarters, with the Suns leading 101-79. Combine the fact that the Suns were way up and probably put in the second string and the fact that the Suns shot 53% from the free-throw line for this game, well..you know what happened. The game stayed under by 2 points. Sometimes we win like this and sometimes we lose..

Tonight, the Cavaliers travel to Orlando to take on the Magic. These two teams have met twice this season and both games have ended up over the total with 229 and 233 scored in those contests. The total tonight is 204. Either this will be an easy win or we are missing something obvious. Since nobody ever reads this..who cares?? LOL

We went 2 for 2 last night, but they were both close! The 76ers were down by 16 points after 3 quarters and came back big time in the fourth quarter to win the game straight up over the Bulls. The Indiana-Dallas game just barely got over the total of 212.

Tonight we go with another over..The Sacramento Kings visit Phoenix and the total is at 228. The Suns are shooting the lights out right now, and continue to run teams up and down the court, even with Shaq in the lineup. The Kings are capable of throwing up alot of points also, so we'll take the over here and see what happens..

We split the other night going 1 for 2 bringing our win percentage down a bit. We have two games going tonight and it looks like a good spot to cash in both.

The 76ers visit the Bulls tonight and the Bulls are favored by 3.5. The Sixers have been on a tear and we can't see Chicago derailing that right now, so we are taking the points in this one.

The other game we like is the over in the Indiana-Dallas game. The total is at 212, and although Dallas has a great defense, we notice that the Pacers seem to impose their pace of play on just about every team the play against. Dallas has been shooting very well of late, and we see a high scoring affair here.

We hit another easy one the other night when the Nuggets-Jazz game flew over the total. Tonight we focus on the Utah-Chicago matchup. The Jazz visit a Chicago team which is still mathematically alive for a playoff spot. Watched the Bulls the other night when they were playing Detroit and they seem to have moved up a few notches in the pace of their games. Their shooting has improved quite a bit and they seem to actually want to win.

Went 2 for 2 last night with both our games going over the totals. This brings our record up to 22-15-2, not bad. Going with another over tonight. Both teams are on back to back nights and this usually affects defense more than offense, especially with altitude involved. The Denver Nuggets travel to Utah tonight after beating San Antonio at home last night. The Jazz are back home after beating the Suns in Phoenix last night. The total is 223.5 on this game and the last time these two teams hooked up, they put up 233 points in Denver. We look for a super-high scoring game, should be over 240 scored here..Take the over..

Split again last night..I guess going with the under in Indiana Pacer's games is just not an option. They were able to take the Spurs out of their slow mode of play last night, even though they got beat.

We split last night going 1-1. The Pacers just seem to impose their pace of play on whoever the matchup with, or do they? Maybe Houston has began to play a more up-tempo style without Yao Ming in the lineup. We'll have to see a few more from them to come to a conclusion on that.

With that said, we will try again taking the under on the Pacers- Spurs game tonight. The total is at 197 right now. The Spurs are a much better defensive team and I believe they will dominate the Pacers tonight both offensively and on the defensive side of the ball.

Also going with the over on the Cleveland-Chicago game where the total is at 193 at this writing. Cleveland seems to put up more points on the road and they tend to play at the pace of their opponent, especially on the road and against division rivals..

Nice to pull off a win by the hook..Last night's selection of the Sacramento Kings plus 9.5 came down to the wire with the Kings losing by 9..whew!!

Today, I am going to play Miss Fremont back for a third time. Had her at 9-1 when down at the track back in January and she finished a good second. Bet her back when she returned and she won and paid $8.80. Now she is entered in today's second race, The China Doll Stakes. She is listed at 9/2 on the morning line, so let's hope for 5-1 or better on her..
